The foot lands on the outside of the heel, then rolls inwards (pronation) to absorb shock and support body weight. The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inwardly (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of the ball of the foot. Push Off The pressure is on the smaller toes on the outside of the foot. There is even distribution from the front of the foot. They’re just not consistent across all their lines. Hard to find any that are for people who need arch support. I don’t get it why I have to buy separate arch supports when they say they’re for people who need arch support. There was one set of Asics I had that were so absolutely comfortable that I had no sore feet at the end of my work days, but of course they stopped making them and I’m spending more time than it’s worth and buying more shoes and arch supports. Maybe it’s just time I just started thinking about retiring. My knees are giving out too. But I really don’t want to quit. Someone please help us find shoes that will support feet that are worn and tired!UPDATE: After trying these out on a few short walks around the block, the left shoe began to really hurt my big toe (on top of the toe and just onto the foot.) It's right where there is some stitching and reinforcements near where the laces begin. That piece was pushing into my foot with so much pressure that it hurt to walk. I put them on this morning to go walk thinking I could break them in or soften that spot a bit, but it was too painful to walk. The right shoe isn't bothering my foot at all, but it does have that same reinforced area and stitching.I bought the 8.5, my usual size, although sometimes I go up to a 9 depending on the shoe. I was worried about buying a shoe online, but with the pandemic, going to a shoe store and trying on many shoes was not an option. After reading many reviews that mostly said they fit true to size, I went with an 8.5. My foot tends toward wide, but I never buy wide shoes. If the shoe is too narrow in the toebox, though, I can't wear it. These fit just right, plenty of room for my toes if I don't wear a really thick sock (which I do not.) They look great and feel great.Ordered these in an 8W. The heel of the sole is slightly wider than another pair of ASICS that I have in a 8 normal width, but the sole of the toe area is the exact same width on both pair of shoes. I felt I just got a defective pair and re-ordered but new pair is the same way. First pair also had a scrunched up spot in the bottom of the toe area which made it uncomfortable. 2nd pair does fit better than my 8 normal width -- so there must be a little extra fabric on the top? that allows the toe area to be slightly roomier but they are still a very tight fit. I'm kind of a between width -- sometimes I can go with a 8B and sometimes I need an 8D--so if you are truly a wide with, I wouldn't recommend this shoe at all. If you're like me and it just depends on the shoe, I'd suggest getting the wide width but also ordering 1/2 size larger than your normal size. (my toe is all the way at the end of this shoe. I ordered an 8W New Balance shoe at the same time and had to return it because it was too big...) Sole has lots of cushion in both toe and heel. It is a very comfortable shoe, just runs small. They are an amazing product and a great line of shoes with perfect fitAs Asics continue to produce, it appears the design has deteriorated. I originally fell in love with the 15s and purchased them for as long as possible. I next moved to the 18s- a decline from the 15s. Now that I can no longer find the 18s, I once again had to move on to a higher model number. After trying 4 different models of Asics, I ultimately settled on the Nimbus 20 IN A WIDE WIDTH. The standard width, which I normally wear, is extremely tight in the toe box. When my shoes arrived, I wore them in the house and kept them on while watching a movie. Twenty minutes into the movie, my toes were numb and I could no longer wear the shoes. It is frustrating that Asics doesn't listen to customer feedback and return to how shoes were previously made.i have been using these running shoes for years - they have been in all of my races. perfect fit, and my legs, knees, hips, feet are never sore. i have about four of these shoes right now, spread out btwn my car, home, work, and boyfriends house - never know when i want to run! these shoes are a great fit, and great support. i have very average feet, with no rolling in or out when i step. very average arches. i would say if you dont have any specific foot needs, these are a very good product. i had a pair of other shoes from a diff brand who used to give me knee pain - but i have never had pain a day in my life from these. These are marathon running shoes! i retire them around 300 miles, which is generic of any running shoe. i am 140 lbs and run regularly. i can get away with using these shoes until about 400 miles though, but i use those pairs that are 300+ more infrequently and as spares. great shoe!!!I have plantar fasciitis, and my legs and feet have always had a hard time with standing for long periods of time (ie: in highschool, working retail.) Now that I weigh 260 lb it takes a lot less to get my feet screaming. There are few shoes I can wear for any length of time without them bothering me.I have had good luck with Asics overall, and this specific shoe is no different. I know when I need a new pair because my feet start aching quickly again. With these paired with my Dr Scholl's customized orthotics, I actually find them more comfortable to walk around the house in than my bare feet. I will continue to buy these over and over, even after having tried New Balance and other brands. The one thing I do wish they came with was a longer, second pair of shoes laces to compensate for fat feet and the insole. My wife loves these. She has size 9 feet and it is hard to find attractive women's running shoes at that size. But thesefit the bill. They are co.fortsble and fit well. These shoes are amazing according to my daughter. She changed to these runners after recovering from a stress fracture in her foot and says they’re to most comfortable runners she’s ever worn for both running and at the gym. (Home gym post COVID)This seller was great too! Fast shipping and called to double check specifications of my order. Very happy all around with this purchase!Been wearing this shoe for as long as I can remember. got fitted at a store for the right type of shoe for me. As a runner that's the best thing you can do for yourself. But it has cushioning and a wide toe cap which allows my toes to rest how they want. My orthotics also work with them. These seem to be genuine and they are great to wear. Look very cool with the blue colour but not too obscene.Delivery took a little longer than stated to Australia but great once here.Die Asics passen mir wie angegossen und sehen auch sehr schön aus.....die kann man auch zu sportlich legerer Kleidung super tragen.....PERFEKT
